Chicken Stock Kit - CSA MEMBERS ONLY

These are packages that the veteran CSA members know about and once you figure out why they are so great... you will never go back.  These packs have all the fixings for the best chicken stock..... and the secret is all about the feet.  I usually crock pot the pack for around 12-24 hours adding back water every few hours.... once I'm ready, we strain the stock through a stainless mesh colander and separate off any of the bones or meat.  There isn't much meat in these packs so the solids get tossed and the liquids get stored either in the fridge or frozen for later.  You know you've done it right when you cool the stock and it jiggles like jello in the fridge!!

We have raised these birds on pasture fed a conventional feed from a local feed store in Eaton, CO.
